Head Professional Tim Rouse AFPGA is a Advanced Fellow Member of the PGA, a Senior Swing Instructor for the PGA and a NGU County Coach, additionally a Coach to European Tour players, Club Pros, and leading Amateurs as well as club golfers. Tim is also Chairman of the Midlands Region PGA.		Professional Nick Soto has a wealth of competitive experience, is a qualified PGA Level 3 Coach and a Class A Member of the PGA. Nick specialises in Junior coaching and club golfers.		Professional Ed Chapman is a qualified ASQ Level 2 Coach, a Class A member of the PGA and is the NGU County Junior Team Assistant Coach. Ed also holds a National Diploma in Sports Science specialising in Biomechanics and Nutrition.

Lessons and Coaching

Private lessons are available with any of our teaching Professionals. They offer individual lessons seven days a week ,starting at 8.30am. on most days. Rates for a swing check session range from £17 to £20 depending on the seniority of the instructor. Junior rates are available. The minimum amount of time to schedule a private lesson is half an hour. Gift certificates are available but must be specified to an instructor.

The Northamptonshire County Golf Club is proud to offer one of the best-assembled practice faculties for instruction in the country. Led by Head Pro Tim Rouse, all instructors are personally selected and taught his teaching techniques and methods and carry years of teaching experience. The aim is to create a relaxed and fun environment in which seniors and juniors alike can improve their golf. With a comprehensive range of lessons that cater for the total beginner through to the most experienced of players that seek to play to their full potential.
Head Professional, Tim Rouse, comments. “I’ve been involved with the practice facility improvements from the ground up and I truly believe we are creating the finest teaching facility in Northamptonshire. We have an incredibly beautiful and challenging golf course designed by Harry S Colt and recently extended by Cameron Sinclair. The first class practice facilities include outdoor long and short game practice areas along with 2 putting greens. Our Professionals will help you understand your game more fully, helping you to apply your own swing to every phase of the game. Our facilities help them cover long and short irons, wedge and sand shots, trouble shots, chipping, putting and more. They’ll also help you focus on course strategy while you enjoy the challenging and memorable championship course. Regardless of your level, age or experience our coaching can take you to an entirely new level. Our coaching philosophy is based on the player understanding his, or her, own unique swing.”
Tim adds. “No matter how good your swing may be, if you’ve got the wrong equipment, you won’t hit your best shots. We evaluate each golfer’s unique swing and recommend proper club fitting. It’s a simple process that can work wonders for your game. We can help you refine your swing and pick the best clubs to lower your score from our well-stocked Pro Shop. After this initial analysis, you will be shown how the suggested changes/improvements to your swing will improve your enjoyment of the game and you will see for yourself exactly where your swing can improve.”

Lesson Booking and Cancellation Policy
All individuals who wish to reserve lesson time with an instructor should book through the Pro Shop. Credit cards, cash or cheques are welcome when making the reservation or purchasing a voucher. Coaching sessions may be cancelled for bad weather as all facilities are out doors.
