A difficult driving hole this slight dog-leg right has a fast running fairway that slopes away from play toward the left-hand trees and rough. The green is probably the most memorable on the course with valleys running lengthways through it, again hit the wrong part of the green and a two putt is not a forgone conclusion.

The seventeenth has a number of different tees to play from and the hole changes dramatically from tee to tee. The fairway bunker poses a different threat depending on your length and which tee you are playing from. The large broom bushes lie just a few fee left of the fairway that narrows considerably by the fairway bunker. A number of bunkers guard the suitably sloping green.

This is a great hole to finish on and many a match changes hands on this hole. There is trouble the full length of this narrow par 5. With trees and bushes on both sides and bunkers ready to catch every shot, and all the time you know there is an audience watching you from the club house verandah, just a few yards behind the green.
